Revive Rehab strives to provide the highest quality care for our patients. In order to do that, we have elected not to contract with insurance companies, making us an out-of-network provider. This allows us to provide superior, one-on-one care that is unmatched by anyone else in the area. It enables us to spend the entirety of your session working directly with you, offering all treatment options that will best help you reach your goals, and not be limited by the coverage of insurance. This way, you can spend significantly less time attending therapy because you improve much more quickly. We work for PATIENTS, not insurance companies!
However, you still may be eligible to receive reimbursement from your insurance company based on your out-of-network benefits. Call your insurance provider for more details on “out-of-network physical therapy benefits”. If they offer some benefits, we will be happy to provide you with an itemized document called a superbill, with all the information your insurance carrier will need. Insurance benefits inquiries and reimbursement requests are the sole responsibility of the patient. We do accept HSA, FSA, and Care Credit cards.

No! South Carolina has direct access to physical therapy which means you do not need a referral to get started with pelvic floor therapy! This saves you valuable time and money, as well as avoids unnecessary diagnostic testing and medications. The sooner you receive treatment for an injury or dysfunction, the faster you will get well! With our direct access laws, we will need to obtain a physician referral within 30 days of your initial evaluation in order to continue your care. We will write up a Plan of Care and send it to the provider of your choice (typically your Family Doctor, OB/GYN, Midwife or Chiropractor), so they can be up to date on your treatments. *If you plan to submit an out-of-network superbill claim to your insurance provider, you may need a referral. You can download the form below and send this to your provider of choice to complete.
This will vary greatly from person to person, depending on what you’re being treated for, how long you’ve been dealing with the issue, and other factors that will play a role in your recovery. “Typically” you’ll see your therapist one time per week in the beginning of your program, and work towards coming in every two to three weeks as you continue to improve. You might expect to start noticing improvements within two to three visits, with treatments lasting anywhere between eight to sixteen visits, depending on the severity of the issue. Your treatments are all personalized and results will vary.
At Revive Rehab, we strive to create a comfortable space where our patients can feel at home combined with expert level and individualized care in a private setting. Once you arrive at Revive Rehab, your physical therapist will escort you to an examination room. They will gather information about your current condition and review any items that you will have previously identified on a health history questionnaire prior to your visit. After identifying the chief concern to you, your therapist will conduct a full comprehensive orthopedic examination, postural assessment and movement analysis. A possible pelvic examination may be performed on the first visit if warranted, which may or may not include an internal pelvic exam with informed consent. Based on examination findings, your therapist will review your likely underlying source of your symptoms, getting to the root cause of your problem. Together, you and your therapist will determine the best course of action to start you on your road to recovery for long lasting relief!
If time warrants, you may also receive some treatment intervention on your first visit. Everyone will take away some new education and tips at the very least to begin implementing into your daily routine.
Be comfortable! It is recommended you wear light yoga pants or loose fitting clothing in order to move around easily. Some people prefer to come in layers and will get down to the layer they are most comfortable with. Comfortable footwear is also recommended. Try to avoid thick denim.
